"Bobby Perfect's music is PERFECT (no pun intended) for smooth jazz radio formats. He is really a blues artist but there's a jazz feel to his music. This jazz/blues fusion is quite compelling. His "New York City" piece could well be that rare occassion where an instrumental actually becomes a pop hit."
Michael McHugh
"Bobby Perfect's CD 'Shackles' touched on different styles of music. At times, I could hear the guitar blues of Muddy Waters, the Jazz sounds of Al Di Meola, the porch beats of the 1950's street groups and the progressive sound of the 1960's &70's! Bobby has a great command of his acoustic electric guitar style, along with knowledge in the use of electronics and creative overdubbing. His mixes blend in perfectly with each song he plays!"

"...After the first time listening I thought, this can't be possible, it can't be this good. But more times listening showed that it only got better. What Perfect brings here is just phenomenal. The enthusiasm and the drive flow, no, flood of it. Everything is right, from solo acoustic guitar to electric fusion of blues, jazz and rock.

Bobby Perfect is a lifelong disciple of all things guitar. Since the '60s he has played the six strings in all their variety, from the nylon string classical to the overdriven electric lead. He's been a devotee of such luminaries as Duane Allman, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter and a long list of others.
He has lived in Manhattan since the early 80s and has played with numerous blues and rock bands during that time. In the early nineties, he played in the house band at Dan Lynch's Sunday blues jam for Frankie Paris. More recently, he's worked with the Blue Rooster Pie band, the Blues Blazers, the Tonebenders, and the Night Owls.
He can perform capably either as a frontman or a sideman. These days hes playing lead guitar in a band of rock n roll outlaws called The Bokum Road Band. He's also been singing and playing lead guitar with pickup bands at jam sessions and appearing solo at open mikes in the Greenwich Village area. He contributed his talents to Leigh Harrison's fine CD, Eclectic Chanteuse, showcasing electric lead, dobro, lap slide and 12-string blues stylings.
Bobby continues to play with Leigh in a duo called BlueBird at open mikes and poetry readings. In addition, his enjoyment of the bass guitar has enabled him to continue playing gigs with friends in the Connecticut area.
His first CD, called Light Blue, was recorded 1994 and 1995, and was released in 2002 on the SongCrew label. Light Blue features covers of some favorite songs. His latest CD, called Shackles, also on SongCrew records, features mostly original compositions ranging from solo acoustic guitar, to an electric fusion of blues, jazz and rock.
